Magmatic complex of the Pre-Alpine basement of Georgia (Caucasus); basite-ultrabasite complexes of Georgia, also Granitoide complexes; processing and interpretation of petrographic, petrochemical and geochemical data; investigations of metamorphites of Murguz crystalline protrusion, Amasia-Sevan-Akera ophiolite belt,  Tsakhkuniack and Akhum-Asrickchay massifs (Armenia, Lesser Caucasus); Sedimentology, Engineering Geology and Oil and Gas Geology.
Scope of interests of study also covers the paleogeography, sequence stratigraphy and cyclostratigraphy of the Sarmatian sediments of Eastern Georgia.
